Does FTP work on BackupWebTown.com ? or Can I use FTP Application ? |
|
Yes, FTP is available for users of BackupWebTown.com. We provide our "FileManager" interface in order to better manage the overall file transfer process on our customized system. Some users prefer FTP and we strive to answer the requests of our users when possible. Instructions on how to access your website via FTP:
- Download one of the many free or shareware FTP software clients available online. Search for "FTP software".
- Specify "www.backupwebtown.com" as the "remote server" or "FTP servername".
- Enter your regular BackupWebTown "username" and "password" that you created when you signed up for your account.
- Move or transfer your files using your software client. Reference your FTP software's "help" documentation if you have any problems here.
- Make sure you log-off or exit your FTP session.
Note: if you are behind a firewall and your FTP software connects but does not show any files in your remote directory, turn on "Passive Mode" in your software's configuration menu. On some software clients, this is in the "advanced" options menu that is usually provided.

Absolutely, BackupWebTown gives you ability to send files to desired individuals via email with an easy to use interface. You can also use BackupWebTown file manager to rename, delete and move your uploaded files.

I have a difficulties to load and install Multifile uploder? |

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer.
ActiveX component is not activated at your browsers. Please follow following instructions to enable.
To check whether security settings are ok, follow these steps:
- Open Tools -> Internet Options menu in Internet Explorer.
- Switch to Security tab.
- Click Custom Level button.
- Make sure that:
- The Download signed ActiveX controls radio button is Prompt or Enable.
- The Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins radio button is Enable or Prompt.
- The Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scription radio button is Enable or Prompt.
Refresh the uploader page again. When prompted, Please click accept to ActiveX pop-up notification to download and install ActiveX control.
